B. Afeni McNeely Cobham

Dr. B. Afeni McNeely Cobham, a native of Brooklyn, New York is the curator of the Sankofa Lecture Series, a consultant group dedicated to the study of Hip Hop culture. “Dr. MC,” an affectionate moniker bestowed upon her by students is an alumnus of Marist College (1992), the University of Georgia (1996), and Indiana University (2000 & 2003). She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the Order of Eastern Stars. Dr. McNeely Cobham has worked in the field of higher education as a scholar-practitioner for twenty-five years; currently, she serves as the Associate Dean for Institutional Equity and Inclusion at Connecticut College.
