Kristin Allukian

Kristin F. Allukian (PhD in English, University of Florida; MA in English, Trinity College; BA in English, Mount Holyoke College) studies the relationship between women, work, and middle-class status in nineteenth-century American literature and visual culture. She was awarded the prestigious Madelyn Lockhart Fellowship by the University of Florida for her dissertation project, entitled "Ladies who Labor: Women, Work, and Literary Legacy in Late Nineteenth-Century American Literature." Allukian has received multiple grants to conduct research at several archives across New England including the Massachusetts Historical Society, the Houghton Library at Harvard University, and the Sophia Smith Collection at Smith College.
