Lisa McLaughlin is an Associate Professor with appointments in the Department of Media, Journalism and Film and the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies program at Miami University-Ohio, USA. She has published on transnational feminism, the public sphere, political economy, and women, work, and information technologies. She is founding co-editor, with Cynthia Carter, of Feminist Media Studies, an international, peer-reviewed journal which she co-edited for 16 years. She has published articles in journals including Media, Culture and Society, Sociological Review, and Television and New Media, along with a number of chapters in edited collections. Recent publications include Current Perspectives in Feminist Media Studies (co-edited with Cynthia Carter, 2013) and The Routledge Companion to Media and Gender (co-edited with Cynthia Carter and Linda Steiner, 2014).
